
When in 2013 we started planning the new Business Unit dedicated to manufacturing prostheses and medical devices, we designed an exclusive area inside Mipesa Mecanizados production building, where guarantee aspects like traceability, woking methodology, absence of contamination and a place to install all the media for this work, totally different from the industrial mechanization.
At the end of 2017 and beginning of 2018 we were able to start a new fully independent production area, suitable and appropriate for the highest requirements of the medical industry.
Currently the new plant is fully climatized to guarantee both precision of the production machines, accuracy of the metrology equipments together with wellbeing and staff productivity.
The layout is distributed in 4 completely separated areas:
Mechanization Area.
Finishing Area.
Technical Office.
Quality and Packaging Department.
To resume we have at your disposal the following production measures:
5 Axis Milling Centers.
Multitasking Lathes.
CNC Turning Machines.
Shot Blasting Machines.
Electro Polishing.
Brushing.
Laser Welding.
Laser Marking.
Ultra Sound Cleaning (Both in process and in Quality Area).
Vacuum Packing.




The quality is really critical, so this way we do have two quality centers: One in the Production Area and a second one in the Final Control Area.
In Mipesa Surgical in terms of metrology equipment we do have the following devices:
CNC Coordinate Table exclusive for Production Dept.
CNC Coordinate Table exclusive for Quality Dept (Final Control).
Analogic Profile Projector.
Digital Profile Projector.
Roundness Tester Machine.
Digital Roughness Testet Machine.
The Final Quality Control Area is located in an isolated zone so that the risk of contamination of the product once cleaned and available for transportation is minimized.
